Stabilised plants: innovative and timeless products

You're probably familiar with fresh, dried, or artificial flowers, but have you ever encountered stabilised plants?

These are natural flowers whose freshness and beauty are preserved through a completely organic and biodegradable stabilisation process.

Various types of flowers and foliage can undergo this process, such as roses, hydrangeas, eucalyptus, or ferns. Each plant species has its own unique stabilisation method.

The preferred technique for conserving flowers involves double immersion. It begins by dehumidifying fresh flowers, immersing them in pure alcohol for 24 hours, followed by rehydration and immersion in a solution of alcohol, vegetable glycerine, propylene glycol, and food coloring.

This stabilising liquid replaces the sap, allowing the flowers to maintain their natural appearance, shape, and elasticity for many years.

In preserving foliage, the absorption method is typically employed. The ends of freshly cut plant stems are dipped in a solution comprising plant glycerine, water, nutrients, and food coloring. After several days of immersion, the foliage is dried. Plants stabilised in this manner retain their natural beauty and elasticity without requiring any care*

Choose an indoor location for your beloved flowers and keep them away from direct sunlight. Sunlight can cause colors to fade more quickly (especially pinks and reds) and make the flowers more fragile.

Dried flowers do not like water or moisture, so it's best not to place them in a humid room, such as a bathroom. Moisture can cause the flowers to wilt or even develop mold. Yes, they really don't need water.

Dried flowers are quite delicate, so handle them gently. They don't like to be touched too often, but they do love to be admired.

If your dried flowers accumulate dust over time, you can gently clean them with a hairdryer (without heat and at the lowest speed) or carefully use a feather duster. Do this only when necessary, not too often.

If you want to store the flowers for an extended period, find a dark and dry space that doesn't get too warm. Avoid basements and attics (rodents sometimes have a taste for flowers). Store the flowers in a cardboard box (not plastic) and, if possible, add cedar to prevent moths or insects.

As dried flowers are a natural product, there may be slight variations in the color of specific flower types compared to the photos, or we may temporarily run out of certain flower varieties. In such instances, we will substitute them with equivalent flower types, always striving to maintain the essence of the original product as closely as possible.
